Curly koa binding. It's getting more and more difficult to get really high flame koa (the stuff that's easy to break)and for the most part the binding material we have is not the highest flame. But even medium flamed koa when finished adds a nice sparkle to the completed instrument. This is Tom Ribbecke's blue guitar with koa binding.
