Sinker Bearclaw Salmon Trap Sitka Spruce Acoustic Guitar Top 68
Pattern: Jumbo
Sinker Bearclaw Sitka Spruce acoustic guitar top from Tenakee Springs, Alaska. These logs were pinned and chained together to form corrals for trapping salmon in the fjords, then spent decades soaking in seawater. That long soak leaves the wood exceptionally light, stable, and resonant, some of the finest-sounding Sitka we've worked with. This top shows striking bearclaw figure, a shimmering, rippled texture prized on high-end spruce tops. Purchased in the early '90s and barn-stored since. Bookmatched.
