A Note From the Owner

As a guitar builder for more than 20 years, I’ve devoted my life to lutherie and the world of handmade instruments. Allied Lutherie is more than a supply company, it’s an extension of that lifelong passion.

Originally founded in 1978 in Healdsburg, California, Allied Lutherie has long been a trusted source of tonewood for builders around the world. When I acquired the business in 2019, my goal was to preserve its legacy while continuing to evolve it in service of the luthier community.

Much of the wood we offer comes from the personal collections of retired luthiers and longtime wood stewards. These are sets with history, character, and real musical potential. I know when I see a special collection of wood that needs to see the light of day — and that’s what I try to bring to you every day.
